Turkish hospital medical technology acquisitions

Overview

Medical facilities in Turkey have recently expanded their diagnostic capabilities through the acquisition of advanced imaging technology.

In Denizli, Pamukkale University Hospitals acquired a 512-slice computed tomography (CT) scanner, supported by the Denizli Organized Industrial Zone Industrialists Foundation and the local business community. The device is allocated to the hospital’s Stroke Center to facilitate detailed imaging of brain blood vessels for identifying blockages and planning rapid treatments.

In Düzce, Atatürk State Hospital launched a new PET-CT service in its Nuclear Medicine Department. The equipment, acquired with approximately 80 million lira, aims to improve local cancer diagnosis and monitoring. Officials noted that the service is intended to reduce the need for patients to travel to neighboring provinces for such procedures.
