Turkish industrial investment in Syria

Overview

Turkish garment and textile companies are expanding production into Syria to leverage lower labor costs and support regional industrial recovery. In the first half of 2026, approximately 234 to 247 investment applications were submitted for the textile and ready-to-wear sectors.

Retailer LC Waikiki has begun operations at a new factory in Al-Rai Industrial City near Aleppo, with plans to grow its workforce from 150 to 1,000 employees. This facility has already started exporting to the European Union and the United Arab Emirates. Other firms, including İsparko, are evaluating or seeking partnerships for similar investments.

Broader industrial development is also underway through strategic partnerships. İsra Holding and the Syrian Ministry of Economy and Industry have launched the “Bab al-Hawa Industrial City Expansion Project,” a large-scale initiative covering 364,000 square meters that includes industrial plots and modern infrastructure.
