In Aydın, defendant Ö. K. was acquitted of the ‘intentional murder of a woman’ in the death of Büşra Cin. Additionally, the trial of Cemal A. in Diyarbakır for the murder of İlayda Alkaş continues, and an indictment has been accepted in Konya against Cihan D. for the killing of his parents.

In Kocaeli, the Court of Cassation previously overturned a life sentence for a woman convicted of infanticide, ordering a new investigation into her capacity to understand her actions due to potential epilepsy. Similarly, the Court of Cassation General Assembly overturned a life sentence for Muharrem H. in the Semih Dizbay murder case, citing insufficient evidence and returning the case to the İzmir 9th High Criminal Court for retrial.
