Overview

The Turkish Red Crescent has engaged in several humanitarian and preparedness initiatives. In late August 2026, the organization held a three-day evaluation workshop in Nevşehir alongside the German Red Cross regarding the Disaster Risk Reduction (RISE) Project. This technical and financial cooperation focuses on community and school-based disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, and institutional capacity building.

Following this, in September 2026, the Turkish Red Crescent organized a first aid training event in Ankara themed ‘First Aid and Migration’ to observe World First Aid Day. Conducted in collaboration with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), the program provided training to international students and healthcare professionals to increase emergency intervention awareness.
