TV Globo programming and schedule updates

TV Globo has announced various programming updates and structural changes for its upcoming schedules. In September 2026, the network confirmed the continuation of ‘Em Família com Eliana’ for Sunday afternoons due to strong ratings and commercial performance. The network also announced a gradual restructuring of its Sunday night flagship program, ‘Fantástico’, while maintaining other existing shows like ‘Altas Horas’ and ‘Mais Você’.

Further planning involves significant shifts to the Saturday afternoon lineup, where the network is considering replacing its telenovela block with two entertainment shows. Potential hosts for new Saturday attractions include Angélica, André Marques, Sabrina Sato, Rodrigo Faro, and Márcio Garcia. Additionally, the program ‘É de Casa’ may revert to original formats focusing on crafts and home transformations.

Regarding long-term content, Globo has outlined its 6 PM telenovela roadmap through early 2028. This includes ‘Lá Na Minha Terra’ and a new production centered on women's football scheduled for the second half of next year to coincide with the FIFA World Cup. Looking toward 2028, a new story set in the 1970s by Alessandra Poggi is also in development.
