Uganda Film Festival 2026

Overview

The 13th edition of the Uganda Film Festival (UFF) has launched nationwide screenings, showcasing more than 50 local films at various cinema outlets such as Century Cinemax, EMT Cinema, and NuMax Cinema. Organized by the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) and MultiChoice Uganda, the festival includes a three-day screenwriting masterclass at the Uganda Institute of Information and Communication Technology to enhance technical skills and the commercialization of local productions.

The festival is scheduled to conclude with an awards gala on August 28, 2026, where winners of the public-voted Viewers’ Choice award will be announced.
