UK rail service disruptions from engineering works

Planned engineering works and track renewals by Network Rail are causing significant rail disruptions across various regions in the United Kingdom.

In mid-September, Southern rail services face closures on September 12 and 13, affecting lines between London Bridge and Streatham via Peckham Rye, as well as routes between Horsham and Barnham. On September 13, track renewal between Guildford and Earlswood will necessitate replacement buses between Purley and Redhill, Reigate, and Horley, and between Redhill and Tonbridge, while direct services between London Victoria and Reigate are suspended.

Further disruptions are scheduled for September 19 and 20 due to upgrades at Leicester station and Knighton Junction. These works involve track renewal and realignment, requiring replacement buses between Kettering, Market Harborough, Leicester, and Loughborough. During this period, services between Leicester and Nottingham will be restricted, and reduced services will operate between London St Pancras and Wellingborough, as well as between London St Pancras and Nottingham/Sheffield.
