UK sports facility upgrades

Overview

Various sports and community facilities in the United Kingdom are undergoing significant redevelopment and upgrades to modernize equipment and improve accessibility.

In Brentwood, the Borough Council has approved a £25 million redevelopment of the Brentwood Centre. The project includes refurbishing the existing hub, installing three new all-weather 3G sports pitches, and enhancing landscaping and parking. The scheme aims to prioritize accessibility through step-free access and new facilities.

In York, the Burnholme Sports Centre is set to receive an upgraded, full-sized FIFA Quality 3G football pitch and improved changing facilities.
