Umbria regional youth support initiatives
Overview
The Umbria Region has introduced two distinct initiatives aimed at supporting the youth population.
On September 3, the region and Usl Umbria 2 launched ‘EsplorAzioni’, a free mental well-being service for individuals aged 14 to 24. Managed by psychologists and health professionals, the program provides consultation and guidance to help young people navigate life changes and connect with community resources.
Following this, on September 4, the region approved a 4 million euro investment to facilitate youth employment through extracurricular internships. Part of the Umbria FSE+ 2021-2027 Regional Program, the initiative targets residents aged 18 to 34. Participants will receive a monthly gross allowance of 600 euros during four-month internship periods, with a specific focus on supporting young people in the region’s five more vulnerable internal areas.
