Univé insurance restrictions on emerging car brands

Univé has refused comprehensive insurance for nine specific brands, including Hongqi, Changan, Voyah, KGM, Leapmotor, VinFast, Jaecoo, MHero, and Omoda. For other manufacturers such as Dongfeng, Firefly, Nio, and Zeekr, the provider will only offer mandatory third-party liability insurance. While many of the affected manufacturers are Chinese, the restrictions also impact brands from other regions, such as the American company Lucid, South Korean manufacturer KGM, and Vietnamese company VinFast. Established brands like BYD and MG remain unaffected due to their existing logistics and service networks in Europe.
