University of Colima academic recognitions

Overview

The University of Colima achieved several academic and professional recognitions in September 2026 during events held in Tijuana, Baja California.

In early September, three civil engineering students participated in the 2026 Latin American Meeting of ACI Student Chapters (ENLACE) at the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California. The team competed in a fiber-reinforced concrete bowling competition, which required designing and manufacturing bowling balls to be evaluated by a jury on their physical and mechanical properties.

Later in the month, the university received three awards at the 39th National Postgraduate Congress during the Orgullo COMEPO 2026 competition. Four master's graduates were recognized for their professional impact: Fernando Alfonso Flores Ruelas for Innovation, Nancy Lizeth Corcino Rosas for Early Professional Career, and Lewis Joshua Hernández Isais and Armando Reyes Caballos for Entrepreneurship.
