University of Tartu wellbeing program launch
Overview
The University of Tartu has introduced a new movement and wellbeing initiative titled ‘Tartu Ülikool liigub’ (University of Tartu Moves). The program aims to integrate physical activity into the daily routines of its 19,000 students and staff to support mental and physical health.
To support this goal, the university signed a cooperation agreement with the Tartu Marathon NGO. This partnership provides university members with discounted registration for various marathon events, including skiing, cycling, and running. Additionally, the university is launching a role model program to support members who inspire others to stay active through sports apparel, free event entries, and access to personal training consultations.
