University of Évora student support initiatives

Overview

The University of Évora has implemented several initiatives to support its student body and international community.

In September 2026, the university and the Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum (AIMA) launched a Local Center for the Support of Migrant Integration (CLAIM). This center is designed to assist international students, professors, and staff with regularization and documentation processes directly on campus. The initiative targets a multicultural community that includes approximately 650 international students and staff from over 80 countries.

Additionally, the university reported the distribution of 177,470 euros through its Social Support Fund for Students (FASE-UÉ) during the previous academic year. This funding, provided by 16 public and private patrons, supported 81 students facing economic hardship by providing access to essential services such as university housing and canteen meals.
