University student orientation and welfare events 2026

Overview

Following the “Hola UACJ” welcome ceremony on 31 July 2026, the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) continued its orientation activities for the August–December semester. On 4 August, the Instituto de Ingeniería y Tecnología (IIT) conducted an induction day featuring technical training such as AutoCAD, while Rector Daniel Alberto Constandse Cortez emphasized an integral education involving scholarships and free transportation.

To assist with campus navigation, UACJ installed informational totems at all 16 stations of its Indio Bus Circuit Norte, displaying route maps and station names. Use of the service remains contingent upon a valid institutional ID and adherence to conduct rules.

On 19 August, the university held “Jornadas de Bienestar” (Welfare Days) at the Ciudad Universitaria campus. Organized by the Dirección General de Bienestar Universitario (DGBU), the event utilized 26 service stations in the Plaza Cívica of Building A to centralize access to various departments. The initiative aimed to reduce student uncertainty by providing direct contact with academic services, health and wellness units, scholarships, professional internships, the University Language Center, and the Sports Directorate.
