On September 21, health officials in Palm Beach County, Florida, issued new advisories following elevated Enterococcus bacteria levels and a wastewater spill. Testing identified bacteria levels failing to meet state criteria at Ocean Inlet Park in Boynton Beach, the Boynton Beach site in Ocean Ridge, and DuBois Park in Jupiter. Furthermore, a wastewater spill near the Boca Raton Resort reached waters connected to the Intracoastal Waterway. Officials advised against swimming, water contact, or using the water for irrigation in the affected area, though they noted the spill has not affected the drinking water supply.
