US-Greece Stryker armored vehicle acquisition
Overview
Following the US-Greece Strategic Dialogue on October 7, 2026, Greece began evaluating the acquisition of approximately 300 Stryker 8x8 wheeled armored vehicles from the United States to enhance Greek Army capabilities and interoperability.
Subsequent developments indicate the Greek Army will receive used Stryker vehicles through an EDA Grant. The acquisition process is expected to move toward Congressional approval in November, followed by the delivery of a Letter of Acceptance. The potential inventory includes M1126 infantry carriers, M1129 mortar carriers, and M1134 anti-tank guided missile carriers. Some M1126 models are equipped with M151 Protector remote weapon stations, which may be fitted with 12.7 mm heavy machine guns or 40 mm grenade launchers.
