US-Israel Tamir interceptor production and delivery

Overview

The United States has delivered the first Tamir interceptor for the Iron Dome missile defense system that was fully manufactured and assembled in the U.S. The delivery to the Israel Missile Defense Organization (IMDO) occurred following a ceremony at the Raytheon-Rafael Area Protection Systems (R2S) facility in East Camden, Arkansas.

The Camden facility represents the first production site outside of Israel dedicated to manufacturing complete Tamir interceptors. Established through a joint venture between Rafael and Raytheon, the facility aims to expand manufacturing capabilities, strengthen the defense industrial bases of both nations, and enhance supply chain resilience. This initiative is also intended to stimulate local innovation and job creation within the United States.
