USC Bloom Football Performance Center

Overview

In late July 2026, USC head coach Lincoln Riley toured the newly completed Bloom Football Performance Center, a three‑story, 160,000‑square‑foot complex built at a cost of roughly $200 million. He praised its expanded locker rooms, sports‑medicine and nutrition labs, weight room, recruiting terrace and dedicated NFL alumni space, calling the venue “magical” and a boost for Trojans training and recruiting.

On 7 August 2026 the university held an inauguration ceremony attended by more than 400 guests, including President Beong‑Soo Kim, Athletic Director Jen Cohen, Coach Riley and student‑athlete Braylan Shelby. The ribbon‑cutting attracted 400‑500 donors, alumni, coaches and players, with major contributions from Ronald H. Bloom, the Bloom family, the Argyros Family Foundation and the Bishops. Speakers highlighted the state‑of‑the‑art medical and recovery areas, innovative training equipment, fueling and nutrition stations, immersive visual training zones and a creative media suite. The project, originally sketched on a napkin in 2021, grew into a $225 million capital investment that also added new baseball, soccer and lacrosse facilities, underscoring a major vote of confidence in the Trojans’ future.
