US‑Serbia strategic dialogue on Kosovo

In mid‑July 2026 the United States announced that its strategic dialogue with Kosovo would be reinstated once Pristina met agreed conditions, particularly regarding the rights of the Serbian community. The pause that began in September 2025 was tied to concerns over Kosovo’s actions, and the restart was to follow the first round of a newly‑established US‑Serbia strategic dialogue focused on security, economic and foreign‑policy cooperation. The European Commission signaled no progress on Serbia’s EU accession and urged parliamentary elections by the end of 2027.
