Political tensions in Uttar Pradesh between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Samajwadi Party (SP) have intensified through verbal disputes and digital warfare. Initially, the conflict centered on governance and law and order, with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accusing the previous Samajwadi Party administration of nepotism and lawlessness, while Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav criticized the current government for failing to provide security and justice.

The dispute subsequently escalated into a digital conflict involving Artificial Intelligence (AI) generated content. Akhilesh Yadav presented AI-generated videos depicting individuals in saffron clothing stealing from temple donation boxes and an image of Chief Minister Adityanath appearing to smoke. While Yadav claimed these videos were provided by an external party, the BJP condemned the content as an insult to Hindu saints and Sanatan culture, marking a shift toward the use of AI technology in regional political campaigning.
