Valencia CF football academy expansion

Overview

Valencia CF is expanding its football development programs both in Mexico and Spain. In Mexico, the club is launching a new VCF Academy at the Terranova Country Club in Mexico City on September 1. This follows the establishment of a branch in Morelia in September 2025, which currently serves more than 120 children. Academy director Alejandra Maffey stated the club aims to “paint all of Mexico orange” and intends to implement European training standards, with plans to eventually establish at least five locations in the country and develop a women’s team.

In Spain, the club is also growing its development network by adding UD Alginet to the VCF Schools programme for the 2026–27 season. This partnership brings the total number of clubs affiliated with the Valencia CF development network to approximately fifty, aimed at promoting Valencian football culture and improving training resources in the Valencian Community and the Region of Murcia.
