Valencia flood relief efforts following DANA Adam

Following the devastating floods caused by storm DANA Adam, municipalities in the Valencia region have initiated various relief and recovery operations.

In the Marina Alta region, specifically Pego and Els Poblets, local authorities established assistance offices to help residents register damages for aid applications. Residents were advised to document all property damage with photographs and videos and to retain all invoices related to emergency expenses. In Pego, priority efforts focused on restoring road access, while Els Poblets collaborated with Mapfre to provide specialized assistance for damages to homes, businesses, and vehicles.

As recovery efforts progressed, mayors from the Horta region, including representatives from Aldaia, Paterna, and Mislata, mobilized resources such as high-pressure washers, electrical generators, and water pumps to assist hard-hit areas like Oliva. Meanwhile, the Els Poblets city council requested that volunteer groups coordinate with local authorities before organizing new collection drives, noting that the municipality was currently saturated with existing supplies of cleaning products and tools.
