In the Marmarole group, vandals damaged the Fratelli Toso, Musatti, and Voltolina bivouacs. Reports indicated that summit registers—used by rescuers to track hikers—were torn, potentially to fuel bonfires, and mattresses were thrown outside structures. The Club Alpino Italiano (CAI) warned that such actions pose direct safety risks and could lead to the removal of furnishings or the permanent closure of emergency shelters.

Following these events, the Bivacco Giovanni Menegazzi in the Pale di San Martino region was temporarily closed due to similar issues. Volunteers reported illegal campfires near wood supplies, littering, drug paraphernalia, and human excrement near the Madonna-delle-Nevi shrine. These incidents have raised significant concerns regarding fire risks and general safety at mountain sites.
