Vazrazhdane party political opposition in Bulgaria

The Vazrazhdane party has expressed opposition to several government initiatives and institutional processes in Bulgaria.

Regarding judicial matters, party leader Kostadin Kostadinov announced that the party will only support candidates for the Supreme Judicial Council who fall outside the parliamentary quotas allocated to GERB and DPS. This stance follows the expiration of the current council mandate, which has restricted judicial powers and blocked decisions on magistrate appointments.

In terms of fiscal policy, the Vazrazhdane parliamentary group announced it will not support the proposed draft budget. MP Tsoncho Ganev criticized the framework for failing to improve economic conditions or living standards, specifically citing a projected increase in state debt and insufficient public sector wage increases to combat inflation. Ganev also criticized the government for presenting the draft budget at the University of National and World Economy rather than within the National Assembly.
