Venezuela digital international document legalization

Overview

Venezuela's Autonomous Service of Registries and Notaries (Saren), in coordination with the Ministry for Foreign Relations and International Trade, launched a digital service for the international legalization of documents. This system allows citizens to apply for authentication for use in countries that are not members of the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention.

The process is managed through the Saren online portal, where users can select documents, complete forms, and pay fees. Once processed, documents are delivered via email or download, featuring electronic signatures and QR codes for verification.

Following the initial launch, the Ministry of University Education expanded the utility of this digital system, enabling graduates to specifically use the online Saren portal to process the international legalization of university degrees.
