Venice Simplon-Orient-Express Monte Carlo expansion

Overview

Belmond is expanding the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express itineraries to include Monte Carlo, Monaco, starting in mid-2027. The new route will travel from Paris through the French Riviera—passing through Saint-Raphaël, Cannes, and Nice—before arriving at the Monte Carlo underground station and continuing to Venice.

General manager Pascal Deyrolle described the addition as a “natural continuation” for the service, noting the historical connection to Monaco dating back to 1977. The luxury service will feature Art Deco-style carriages and amenities such as butler service and sommelier-selected wines. Ticket prices for the new route are expected to start at 4,870 euros per person.
