President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and Governor Rocío Nahle García inaugurated a new two-kilometer road distributor at the Port of Veracruz. The government has set a goal to deliver over 107,000 new homes in Veracruz during the current term, with approximately 59 percent of that goal—representing roughly 63,896 units—already under contract or in construction. Nationally, the housing program has reached 43 percent completion toward its goal of 1.8 million homes.
Social justice initiatives regarding housing debt were also addressed. FOVISSSTE announced the liquidation of housing credits for 535 workers and pensioners across 54 municipalities in Veracruz to assist those with unpayable debts. Additionally, Infonavit reported the restructuring of approximately 200,000 unpayable credits in the state to provide financial relief to families. Sheinbaum noted that increases in the minimum wage have helped capitalize social security institutions, stating that Infonavit currently holds 1.14 trillion pesos.
