Vice-President Radhakrishnan Uttarakhand visit

Indian Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan conducted a two-day official visit to Uttarakhand on August 19 and 20, 2026, to engage with civil service trainees.

The visit began at the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy in Dehradun, where the Vice-President interacted with the 2025–27 batch of Indian Forest Service probationers regarding environmental resource management.

On the second day, Radhakrishnan traveled to Mussoorie to attend the valedictory ceremony for Phase-II of the IAS Professional Course at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration. Addressing the 2024 batch of IAS officer trainees, he highlighted that women comprise approximately 41 per cent of the cohort, calling the representation a testimony to ‘Nari Shakti’.

During his address, Radhakrishnan urged officers to prioritize inclusive development to support the ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047’ vision and encouraged the integration of technologies like artificial intelligence and blockchain to improve public service efficiency. He concluded by advising trainees to adopt ‘Sevabhav’ (spirit of service) and ‘Kartavyabodh’ (sense of duty) as their professional guiding principles.
