Vietnam cosmetic and hygiene product recalls
Overview
The Drug Administration of Vietnam has initiated several nationwide recalls and suspensions of hygiene and cosmetic products due to various regulatory and safety violations.
In late August, authorities issued a recall for two batches of Rolux AF feminine hygiene solution after the Bac Ninh Provincial Police Investigation Agency determined the products were counterfeit. The products were brought to market by Evercare Pharmaceutical Cosmetic Joint Stock Company and manufactured by BMP Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.
By early September, the scope of regulatory actions expanded to include other hygiene and cosmetic items. Victory Herbal feminine hygiene solution was recalled for failing to meet microbial limit quality standards. Furthermore, five products from Bao Loi Cosmetics Co., Ltd. were recalled because their formulas did not match registered declaration dossiers, alongside several VLIACARE brand products, including shampoos and body washes.
