Vietnam digital trust and KOL initiatives

In July 2026, Hanoi launched the Digital Trust Club (CLB Niềm tin số Thủ đô) during a conference for Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). The event involved various government ministries, technology experts, and media companies, focusing on the integration of digital life into national security and social welfare while aiming to foster safe online spaces.

Building on these efforts, the second National KOL Summit, known as KOL Summit 2026, is scheduled for September 7 at the ThiSky Hall Sala Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City. Under the theme ‘KOLs on the Journey to Creating Digital Trust,’ the summit aims to address challenges introduced by artificial intelligence, such as deepfakes, misinformation, and fraudulent content.

The forum is organized by the Digital Trust Alliance with patronage from the Ministry of Public Security, involving the Department of Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention (A05), the National Cybersecurity Association, and VCCorp. The event is expected to gather approximately 1,000 delegates, including over 500 celebrities, KOLs, KOCs, and content creators from 34 provinces and cities, alongside more than 100 organizations and enterprises.

The summit will feature parallel thematic sessions. One session, ‘AI, Misinformation, and the Crisis of Trust,’ will address the rapid spread of AI-generated fake news, while ‘Digital Influence and the Future of Creativity’ will explore shifts in the digital landscape. Additionally, the event intends to introduce a set of standards and a credibility program specifically for the KOL/KOC community to promote a transparent and sustainable digital influence ecosystem.
