Vietnam human resource and economic development

Overview

Vietnam is emphasizing the development of high-quality human resources to drive economic growth, technological advancement, and enterprise productivity. At the third Capital Economic Forum (CEF III) in Hanoi, experts highlighted that labor quality should be defined by the ability to master technologies like AI, automation, and digital data, rather than solely by academic credentials.

Specific sectoral and regional efforts are being implemented to support these goals. In the energy sector, the Vietnam Institute of Nuclear Energy is working to secure skilled personnel for upcoming nuclear power and small modular reactor projects. Additionally, Ho Chi Minh City has launched a long-term support project for women entrepreneurs to enhance business capacity through digital technology and market connectivity, while vocational training in Ha Tinh is being modernized to improve technical skills and sustainable livelihoods.
