In late July 2026, Vietnamese provincial authorities intensified efforts to fast‑track large‑scale construction projects. Lam Dong province announced accelerated work on two major programmes: a VND 240 billion boarding school for primary and secondary students, now 64 % complete, and a six‑lane coastal road corridor worth nearly VND 9,500 billion that will link Phú Thủy, Phan Thiết and Tiến Thành wards. To address a labour shortfall, the province appealed to Military Region 7 for additional workers.

A week later, officials in other regions reported similar pushes. In Điện Biên, nine multi‑level boarding schools launched in 2025 are being rushed to finish by 30 August, with five more slated for 2026, supported by about 1,200 skilled workers and dedicated monitoring teams. In Nghệ An, a VND 353 trillion programme for ten primary and lower‑secondary boarding schools is in a final‑stage sprint, with night‑time shifts deployed to offset weather‑related delays and labour shortages. Both provinces aim to have the schools operational for the 2026‑2027 academic year.

Together, these updates illustrate a coordinated national drive to expedite educational infrastructure, supplemented by broader transport projects, as Vietnam seeks to meet upcoming school‑year deadlines and boost regional connectivity.
