Vietnam Secretariat administrative and information reforms

The Vietnam Secretariat, under the signature of Politburo member and Standing Secretary Trần Cẩm Tú, has issued new regulations aimed at strengthening administrative and ideological management.

In mid-August, Regulation No. 211-QĐ/TW was introduced to standardize cadre record management. The mandate requires a single, unified record for every official, utilizing both paper and electronic versions with equal legal standing. The regulation outlines a transition toward digitized files using unified data standards and interconnected databases, while establishing strict protocols for the security and supervision of these personnel files.

By late August, Regulation No. 216-QĐ/TW was issued to govern the ordering of official information for grassroots levels. This regulation establishes mechanisms for providing politically oriented information across various media formats, including digital platforms and social media. The initiative is designed to ensure accurate information delivery and to “proactively combat incorrect or hostile information” to protect the Party’s ideological foundation.
