Overview

Vietnamese authorities have conducted several operations targeting international fugitives. In Hai Phong, police arrested Chen Yihao, a Chinese national wanted by the Guangxi Public Security Bureau for smuggling. Authorities are working to extradite him following international treaties.

In Ho Chi Minh City, police coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security to transfer three individuals to South Korean authorities at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. These individuals, who were subject to Interpol red notices, included Wang Teasan, accused of telecommunications fraud and extortion; Han Joohee, accused of operating fraudulent websites; and Bang Giseong, implicated in transnational fraud.

Separately, the Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam has issued a call for Đỗ Thanh Lâm, a Vietnamese national, to surrender. Lâm is wanted for smuggling and is believed to be residing in New South Wales, Australia. He has been on INTERPOL’s international wanted list since 2021.
