Violent attacks on delivery drivers in Paphos

Overview

In Paphos, Cyprus, police arrested two individuals following a series of violent attacks targeting food delivery drivers in the village of Mouttalos.

The incidents involved a group of approximately ten men who reportedly attacked drivers with stones and metal objects after a dispute over payment, resulting in damage to motorcycles. In a subsequent incident, suspects in a vehicle targeted a 22-year-old driver, assaulting him and robbing him of cash and a mobile phone.

Five drivers were injured and treated at Paphos General Hospital. Authorities are investigating charges including robbery, assault, and conspiracy to commit felony. A 35-year-old suspect has been placed under eight-day detention, and a 22-year-old suspect has also been arrested.
