Violent crime and shootings in the Caribbean

Overview

Reports of violent crime involving firearms have emerged across several Caribbean nations, including Guyana, Jamaica, and Belize.

In Guyana, two men sustained gunshot wounds to their legs during an attempted robbery at a bar and boutique in New Amsterdam. The masked attackers fled the scene without obtaining property.
