Vionica community housing initiative

Overview

In Vionica, construction has commenced on a 157-square-meter prefabricated home for the Živković family, which includes nine children. The initiative was launched to relocate the eleven-member household from a dilapidated apartment in a former school building slated for renovation.

The project is a collaborative effort involving the Vionica Local Community, the “Volim Vionicu” Association, HKUD “sv. Marko Vionica”, the Municipality of Čitluk, and the Croatian National Assembly of BiH (HNS BiH). Financial backing is provided by the HNS BiH alongside several cantons and municipalities with a Croat majority. Local officials recently conducted a site inspection and a blessing ceremony.
