Vivo Energy Uganda operational expansions
Overview
Vivo Energy Uganda, the distributor of Shell-branded fuels and lubricants, has expanded its operational support through new training and industrial infrastructure initiatives.
In September 2026, the company launched two mobile training units to provide on-site skills development for over 2,000 employees across more than 200 Shell service stations, as well as technical training for independent mechanics. Retail Manager Alex Tusingiwire stated that these units allow for more practical training by using the actual equipment and systems encountered in daily work environments.
By October 2026, the company shifted focus toward industrial infrastructure by commissioning custom-engineered bulk fuel storage and dispensing facilities for Kiira Motors Corporation and West International Holding (WIH) Cement. These facilities utilize automated dispensing and digital management systems to monitor volumes and track consumption. Managing Director Joanita Mukasa Menya noted that the project aims to reduce logistical friction and support continuous production for industrial customers.
