Wallaby sighting in Cornwall

Overview

A wallaby was reported in Liskeard, Cornwall, after being seen in the streets early on a Monday morning. Local witnesses initially mistook the animal for a large dog.

Devon and Cornwall Police searched the area following the sighting on Dean Street but were unable to locate the marsupial. Porfell Wildlife Park and Sanctuary stated the animal was not an escapee from their facility. The RSPCA advised the public to maintain distance to avoid causing the animal stress or driving it toward dangerous areas such as roads.
