In Makassar, PDAM Makassar deployed free water tanker services to assist customers facing reduced raw water supplies at Water Treatment Plants 2 and 3. The shortage was attributed to low rainfall affecting raw water sources. Officials urged the public to report any unauthorized individuals attempting to charge for these free services.

In West Sumatra, Dharmasraya Regency and Padang City have also faced water scarcity. In Dharmasraya, the drought impacted villages across the Pulau Punjung, Koto Baru, Timpeh, and Sungai Rumbai districts, prompting the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) to distribute water via tanks provided by the West Sumatra BPBD. In Padang, the shortage affected the Kuranji and Koto Tangah districts, where the local BPBD has been distributing clean water directly to the homes of residents in need.
