The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued multiple thunderstorm, heavy rain, and strong wind warnings across various states and federal territories.

Initial alerts covered a broad range of regions, including Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Johor, Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Negeri Sembilan, Sabah, and Sarawak. These warnings are typically issued when rainfall intensity is expected to exceed 20 millimeters per hour for more than one hour.

Subsequent warnings focused on specific high-risk areas in Sarawak, Sabah, Labuan, and Kelantan. In Sarawak, affected districts included Limbang, Miri, Bintulu, Kapit, Mukah, Sri Aman, Serian, Betong, and Samarahan. Sabah warnings covered Kudat, the West Coast, the interior, and Sandakan. In Kelantan, districts such as Kuala Krai, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Machang, and Pasir Mas were identified.

Recent updates confirm continued thunderstorm and heavy rain warnings for Kedah, Penang, Perak, Pahang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, Sarawak, Sabah, and Labuan. Residents in these regions are advised to remain vigilant against risks such as flash floods and strong winds.

Latest alerts from MetMalaysia indicate widespread warnings for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds affecting Perlis, Kedah, Pulau Pinang, Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan, and Johor. Specific districts in Kedah, such as Langkawi and Kubang Pasu, are under alert, alongside various areas in Perak and Selangor. In East Malaysia, warnings extend to parts of Sarawak, including Bintulu, Miri, and Sibu, and Sabah, covering the West Coast, Interior, and Sandakan regions. Some alerts are expected to remain in effect until 6:00 PM or 9:00 PM.
