Weather fluctuations in Pakistan
Overview
Weather patterns in Pakistan have shifted from a period of incoming low-pressure systems to a phase of high heat and humidity.
In mid-September, a weather system moving from central India brought rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds to Karachi and various districts in Sindh, including Tharparkar and Badin. This system was expected to provide temperature relief, lowering heat in Karachi to approximately 33°C.
By late September, the weather transitioned to a predominantly dry and hot pattern across the plains. Karachi experienced muggy conditions with temperatures between 37°C and 39°C, creating a heat index as high as 42°C. While most of the country remained hot and dry, isolated thunderstorms and light rain were reported in northern hilly areas and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
