West Java industrial investment growth

Investment activity in West Java is showing significant growth across various regencies and industrial zones. In Bekasi Regency, the local government has established an investment target of Rp70 trillion for 2026, building upon current levels of approximately Rp50 trillion. Officials aim to leverage the region’s status as a major industrial hub to sustain economic development through secure business environments and healthy industrial relations.

In the broader Rebana Area of West Java, total investment reached Rp131.62 trillion between 2021 and the first half of 2026, supporting over 320,000 jobs. This development is bolstered by a partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to create a Green Industry Hub and improve logistics connectivity near Patimban International Port. Within this area, Cirebon Regency reported investment realizations of Rp3.23 trillion in the first half of 2026, with local officials anticipating the figure could exceed Rp4 trillion by the third quarter. Large-scale projects, such as one by PT Longrich valued at over Rp1 trillion, are expected to provide significant local employment opportunities.
