Criminals are also utilizing social engineering methods to gain unauthorized access. To mitigate these risks, officials recommend immediately updating both the iOS operating system and the WhatsApp application, enabling two-step verification, and regularly monitoring the ‘Linked Devices’ section to disconnect unrecognized sessions. Users are also advised to utilize biometric protections, such as Face ID or Touch ID. Recent developments show Meta is introducing several interface and utility improvements.
