Winzerfest festival in Bensheim

Overview

The 88th annual Winzerfest in Bensheim is scheduled to take place from September 5 to 13. Organized by the Verkehrsverein Bensheim, the event is a regional tradition dating back to 1929.

During a press conference, managing chairman Max Scharf and Mayor Christine Klein presented the festival program. Scharf, who recently succeeded Thomas Herborn, used the event to honor individuals for long-term service to the association, including Herborn and secretary Hilde Deppert.

Organizers stated that the safety and operation of the nine-day event and the festival parade will be managed through cooperation between the police, fire department, THW, DLRG, and various security services. The local Bauhofservice will assist with the setup and maintenance of the Winzerdorf.
