World of Warcraft Patch 12.1.5 release details

Overview

Blizzard Entertainment has released Patch 12.1.5 for World of Warcraft: Midnight, following the events of the ‘Curse of Ula’tek’.

The update introduces the ‘Kith’ix Unbinding Raid’, a single-boss encounter located in a secret chamber beneath the Venomous Abyss. Players face the released General C’thraxxi, also known as Kith’ix, across Story, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic Dynamic modes.

New gameplay features include the Labyrinth of Kindo’jan, described as the game’s first ‘mega-delve’. Set in an ancient Amani funerary complex, this nine-section dungeon allows players to adventure alongside the companion Valeera Sanguinar to earn mythic equipment. Additionally, ‘Aqir Invasions’ have been implemented as zone-wide public events in Eversong Woods and Zul’Aman, occurring for ten minutes every hour and culminating in boss battles.

Regarding Season 2, the Mythic Keystone system has returned, rewarding players who achieve a seasonal score of 3,600. Further updates scheduled for the week of October 21 include the permanent removal of the crest cap and the introduction of Ascendant venomstones. These can be acquired from raid bosses, Mythic+ dungeons, and bountiful delves to upgrade max-tier equipment, or via new quests to increase the item level of upgraded Season 2 Heroic and Mythic gear.
