Xiaomi POCO smartphone product launches
Overview
Xiaomi has expanded its POCO brand through the release of new smartphone series focused on high-capacity batteries and performance enhancements. In early September, the company launched the POCO F9 series. The F9 Ultra model features an 8,050 mAh battery, 100W wired charging, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, alongside a 200MP main camera. Recent details highlight the F9 Ultra’s premium audio capabilities, featuring a 2.1ch speaker system developed with Bose that includes a rear-mounted subwoofer. Its imaging system also includes a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 5x optical periscope telephoto lens, supported by a VisionBoost D8 chip for video processing. However, the device lacks FeliCa support for certain Japanese transit payments.
Following the F9 series, the POCO C81 Pro was introduced for gaming, and the POCO X8 was released with an 8,340mAh battery and IP69K resistance. The budget-oriented C95 Pro has seen a global rollout in markets such as Singapore and the EU. This 4G device features a 6.9-inch 120Hz display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and a battery capacity reported between 7,500 mAh and 7,900 mAh depending on the region. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra chipset and runs HyperOS 3. Pricing for the C95 Pro starts at approximately USD 169 for the 6GB/128GB model and USD 199 for the 8GB/256GB variant.
Additionally, the mid-range POCO X8 Pro 5G, equipped with a Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor and a 6,500mAh battery, has been noted in promotional sales on AliExpress.
