Youth4Climate international initiative
Overview
The ‘Youth4Climate: Connecting Solutions’ international tour, organized by the Italian Government and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), began in Milan. The initiative aimed to connect over 60 young global leaders with research centers, businesses, and institutions to discuss climate solutions across themes such as sustainable energy, food and agriculture, and the blue economy.
The program expanded through several Italian cities and culminated in Rome, where the Youth4Climate Call for Solutions 2026 recognized 50 young innovators from more than 30 countries. These awarded projects addressed diverse global issues, including floating agriculture in Bangladesh, solar-powered water access in Colombia, and coral reef restoration in the Maldives. The initiative also featured a study tour designed to foster collaboration between participants and Italian academic and industrial sectors.
