Zebra mobile devices and COSYS software deployment in German
Entities: Zebra Technologies · Zebra TC201 · Qualcomm
Overview
In mid‑July 2026 Zebra unveiled its TC53 and TC58 rugged mobile computers for high‑volume retail in Germany, pairing them with COSYS Retail Management Software to streamline inventory, RFID‑enabled stock handling and omnichannel tasks.
A week later the company expanded the partnership to logistics, introducing the TC201 handheld with COSYS traceability software. The device added an upgraded Android platform, enhanced scanners and optional RFID, offering end‑to‑end visibility of material flows in production, warehousing, distribution and health‑care, and digital proof‑of‑delivery features such as signatures, photos, GPS data and condition notes.
On 20 July 2026 Zebra highlighted the TC201’s role in logistics traceability, emphasizing how the combined solution records time, location, operator and process step at each scan, creating a complete item history and enabling real‑time delivery confirmation.
A further update on 27 July detailed a new generation of the TC201 aimed at fulfillment centres. Powered by Qualcomm’s Dragonwing Q‑6690 processor, it delivers over a 150 % performance boost versus the prior TC2x series, while the AC670 Advanced Range scanner can read barcodes from up to 30 m, reducing walk‑paths and accelerating picking, packing and returns during peak periods.
Together these announcements illustrate Zebra’s ongoing rollout of rugged mobile hardware integrated with COSYS software across German retail, logistics and fulfillment operations, focusing on durability, connectivity, high‑speed data capture and traceability to improve efficiency and visibility.
