Zoho Analytics agentic AI updates

Overview

Zoho has announced significant updates to its Zoho Analytics business intelligence platform, transitioning it into an “Agentic Analytics” platform. The update introduces semantic and ontology layers that provide AI agents with organizational context, metrics, and data relationships. This architecture allows AI to interpret business data and support workflows without requiring a separate cloud data warehouse.

The platform’s conversational assistant, Ask Zia, has moved to a multi-agent architecture utilizing six specialized sub-agents for tasks such as data analysis, modeling, visualization, data preparation, coding, and SQL generation. Users can build custom agents and connect them to various systems via the Model Context Protocol.

To increase connectivity, Zoho is adding 30 new data connectors to its existing portfolio. The update also supports a headless BI model for embedding analytics into other applications. These enhanced capabilities are available across data centers in the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
